Discover the magic of fermentation! Fermentation has been used in every culture through history as a way of preserving and transforming food. Through the yeasts naturally present on food and in the air we can transform food, increasing the nutritional value, changing flavour and producing healthy probiotic bacteria to help our digestion In this wokshop we will learn how to ferment vegetables to make sauerkraut, kimchi, salsas and other dishes. We'll also discover fermented drinks such as water kefir and milk kefir. There will be plenty of time to discuss other fermented drinks, sourdough baking and other fermenting delights! At the end of the day you will have your own jars of fermenting vegetables to take home. Please bring a glass jar or two.
